This position is based in our Headquarters located in Woodinville, Washington. At HQ, we have our engineering, support, and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate should have an attention to detail, ability to handle high pressure/fast pace, is flexible to jumping in where needed, has a strong passion for the products we build, has pride in the work you do, likes to work with a small team, and have a strong drive for continuous improvement.
Job summary
- Part of the Drone team at Freefly Systems, you will be building our drone ecosystem by working on the Alta X, Astro, Pilot Pro Controller, or Power Systems production lines
- Performing a variety of light assembly operations using Work Instructions/SOP or Process Documents to assemble sub assemblies and finished goods
- This assembly work could include
- Simple hand soldering
- Wire harness assembly
- Mechanical assembly for Subassembly and final assembly
- Using PCs and simple computer programs to initialize and calibrate devices
- In-Process checks, functional tests, and final quality inspections
- Final boxing and kitting
- Work closely with engineering owners for all process issues, quality issues, or escalations
- Work closely with line leads for training, production tasking, and production schedule
Minimum experience
- You love to build things in your spare time and are a curious tinkerer

Minimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.

Previous experience using hand tools (screw drivers, etc.) and power drivers

Previous experience working on an assembly line or with an assembly team.
- Ability to follow Process Control Documents, Work Instructions, and SoPs

Read/write and fluent understanding of English language

Ability to multitask and efficiently learn new skills

Positive collaborative attitude and desire to hustle.

Fluent understanding of Windows based PC’s- you do not need to be a power user but you need to use computers daily in your life to succeed here.
Optional experience
- Experience building electromechanical products (like consumer electronics)

Certification of learning for entry level manufacturing.
- Understanding of bill of materials and work instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications

Previous experience with MRP systems, Work Orders

Experience with electronics (PCBA/power/batteries) and ability to hand solder
- Experience with drones or RC vehicles
- Experience in an exacting industry- Medical, Aerospace, Robotics, Nuclear etc
Compensation
-
$40-$60K depending on experience.
