Freefly Systems - Woodinville, WA (Frequent Travel)

About Freefly

Freefly Systems builds the world's toughest drones and the fastest cameras flying today. We're looking for a Road Warrior — a customer-obsessed pilot who loves drones, lives out of a carry-on without complaint, and gets a kick out of teaching dealers and pilots how to fly our machines.

This is a high-variety, high-impact role. One week you're flying demos for a survey crew; the next you're running a dealer training, processing POs from the road, and prepping a booth for a trade show. If you thrive on a packed calendar and a clean inbox, read on.

Why Freefly

• Efficient — We've been first to market again and again. See our innovation timeline at freeflysystems.com/why-freefly/timeline.
• Transparent — We build for the long haul. Freefly is an Evergreen company — independent, founder-led, and built to last. Good ideas win here, not titles.
• Innovative — We combine technologies in unexpected ways to deliver products that make customers grin. Smiles are a KPI.

What You'll Do

You'll be the connective tissue between our customers, dealers, sales team, and HQ — keeping orders flowing, demos sharp, and the dealer network well-trained.

• Run flight demonstrations — Pilot Freefly drones in front of real customers, on real projects, in real conditions.
• Support marketing events — Set up booths, coordinate logistics, demo product, and represent the brand at industry shows nationwide.
• Train the dealer network — Travel to dealers and partners to certify their pilots, sharpen their sales pitch, and make sure they can support customers without calling HQ for every question.
• Drive the sales pipeline — Build and send quotes, process purchase orders, push status updates, and keep the CRM honest.
• Set up new accounts — Onboard new vendors and suppliers — paperwork, banking forms, NDAs, the whole package.
• Give HQ tours — Host customers, dealers, and partners at our Woodinville facility. Show them the shop, fly something cool, send them home as fans.
• Maintain customer-facing content — Keep the web store, knowledge base, wiki, and case studies current and useful.

Travel expectation: roughly 40–60% domestic travel for demos, events, and dealer visits, with some international as the calendar requires. If a busy travel schedule sounds like a perk rather than a problem, you'll like this job.

What You Bring

• Experience — 1+ year in a customer-facing role (sales support, inside sales, account coordination, dealer support, event ops, or similar).
• Part 107 — FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification. You can fly, and you're comfortable doing it in front of an audience.
• Organization — You stay calm with twenty things in motion, prioritize ruthlessly, and close loops without being chased.
• Communication — You explain technical products in plain language and make people feel smart — not talked down to.
• Mobility — You're willing and able to travel frequently (4–6 trips per month is normal).
• Disposition — A positive, can-do attitude. You play well with others and treat every failure as a step toward something better.

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce (or a similar CRM), Outlook, and Excel.
• Background in cinema, broadcast, survey, or industrial inspection — the worlds our customers live in.
• Prior experience training dealers, channel partners, or distributors.
• Trade-show booth experience — setup, breakdown, lead capture, the whole drill.

One Honest Note

This role hands a wide range of tasks to a relatively junior person. You'll need to prioritize, problem-solve, and take initiative without a lot of hand-holding. You'll be supporting Matt and Aaron directly and acting as the face of Freefly to dealers and customers when you're on the road. It's a lot. It's also one of the fastest ways to learn this industry from the inside.

Why You'll Want In

• Growth — Real ownership and room to grow — professionally, personally, and as a contributor to our culture.
• Compensation — Competitive base salary plus profit sharing. When Freefly wins, you win.
• Benefits — Medical, dental, and vision. Generous PTO. Flexible schedules.
• Workspace — Gym, espresso, and free parking at our beautiful Woodinville, WA facility. Easy access, easy commute.
• The Shop — Access to a world-class shop and engineering team — the same hands that built the drone you're demoing.
• The Toys — You'll fly the most capable drones in the industry as part of your job. Yes, really.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a short note about why this role fits to careers@freeflysystems.com. If you have demo reels, flight footage, or anything that shows you in front of customers or a camera, send those too.

Oh, almost forgot... include answers to these two questions as well:

• Will you find a way to sell 30% more than last year?
• Will you find a way to ensure those 30% are happy you found them?
