  • ActiveBlade

    Our Alta ActiveBlade design reduces vibration to 1/5th of the normal level. Reduced vibration means lower fatigue on components, longer motor bearing life, less payload vibration for cleaner data collection, and of course better footage when shooting.

  • Dual Smart Batteries

    The Alta X Smart batteries allow one plug automatic charging, with accurate state of charge monitoring, automatic balancing, discharge protection, and built-in safety warnings. The charger displays battery history and performance data at a glance, so you can make confident decisions about pack rotation and flight readiness.

  • Folds To Half Its Size

    Alta X folds to half its normal size with the push of a finger. The folding linkages stiffen the booms to ensure low vibration and precise flight characteristics plus it’s just so fun to open and close the system.

  • Dual GPS & RTK / PPK Ready

    Every Alta X Gen2 ships with dual Ublox F9P GPS Modules which support GPS heading and a vibration isolated industrial Murata IMU for reliable position and attitude estimates. Easily add RTK to increase positional accuracy if needed using Freefly RTK or RTK over LTE.

  • Smart Dovetail

    A payload quick-release dovetail for mechanical and electrical integration to Alta X Gen2 (and Astro) with the Pixhawk Payload Bus standard. The dovetail payload adapter mounts to your payload and interfaces with a dovetail receiver on the aircraft. Our smart dovetail is a stable and open interface that dozens of manufacturers have adopted for their payloads.

  • Quick Release Landing Gear

    Designed for a hassle-free tool-less setup on site, allowing you to focus more on the mission and less on assembly. Two sets of legs give you the option for just the right amount of clearance to protect sensitive equipment during landings, even on uneven surfaces.

  • Adjustable Vibration Isolation

    Adjustable fore / aft positioning for optimal field of view and pitch center of gravity. Multiple options for durometers (rating stiffness) that are easy to swap out in the field for different payload weights and flying conditions. For heavier loads, Toad in the Hole mounting patterns remain on the lower chassis.

  • Industrial Electronics

    Every Alta X Gen2 ships with dual F9P GPS with GPS heading and a vibration isolated industrial Murata IMU for reliable position and attitude estimates. Each Alta X has an LTE connection, integrated FPV camera, and laser rangefinder.

  • Expanded Connectivity & Integration

    Expanded connectivity, including Ethernet and LTE, opens the door to more advanced enterprise and industrial workflows. Nvidia Jetson-ready / expandability for interesting AI integrations. IP-based, RJ45 for Ethernet integrations ready.

  • Modular / Upgradeable

    With the all new modular payload bay design Alta X Gen2 can be serviced / upgraded with minimal downtime. 4 payload bays on the bottom of the aircraft allow users to access the flight electronics and we left one bay available for companion computers or other accessories.

Our flight tests for the Alta X Gen2 were conducted by running the batteries from 100% down to 0%. While this is not typical in real-world operations—where a pilot would usually land with some remaining battery for safety—it provides a clear baseline for comparing performance between airframes and payloads.

Furthermore, hovering draws more power than flying forward at a moderate speed. Because most real flights involve some forward motion (rather than continuous hovering), these 100%–0% hover results end up being a fair representation of typical flights that land with higher battery reserves.
