The Challenge
Catpure a precision tracking shot with Alta 8, moving from low and tight to high and wide to shoot a moving vehicle—while operating from a moving vehicle.
The Setup
Because the shoot took place at 8500’ above sea level, weight of the flying package was the biggest concern. The team had to strip down the package as much as possible while still maintaining all the functionality to deliver this on-point shot. There were multiple takes and plenty of work in post, but this is a great example of how, with a bit of creativity, drones have become an integral part filmmaking. Oh, Christmas tree!
