The Challenge
Get a horizontally moving shot from outside the 9th floor of an immense building, at night, in Buenos Aires.
The Setup
Construct a special dolly system on the 10th floor with an L-shaped structure made of rigging tubes to hold the camera outside the building and hanging down to the 9th floor. The camera was rotated 90 degrees on MōVI XL next to one face of the building to achieve the runway effect and connected to the rail system using a small platform. The lightweight carbon fiber construction of MōVI XL and quick release system made this shot possible, in combination with precise MōVI Controller and achieved the task of turning an everyday scenario into an airstrip.
