Most likely issues and troubleshooting steps are listed below:

• Glitch in the update process -> If the update times out, you can simply try refreshing this page and try again. (Then, if you get the same problem again, its most likely is another issue.)

• AMC or QGC is open -> Make sure AMC or QGC is not open, as it might be interfering with the GPS connection.

• macOS usb issue -> Connecting GPS module with a USB C to C cable directly won't work. You'll need to plug GPS module to an adapter using USB C to A cable. Then plug the adapter to your Mac.

• macOS usb sequence issue -> Make sure to follow the exact order described in previous bullet point when plugging the cables.
